Cost of Class: Single Student Private Class: $350 (8+ hours of individual training) plus location cost if any. Group rates $125 per attendee depending on locations used. Small groups need a minimum of 5 students for a KC area class or 5 for an out-of-town class and cost is $125 per student plus location costs if any. If Instructor provides Guns & Ammo: $15 per student to cover ammo/gun use. If you have one gun and just need to use a class gun and minimal amount of ammo to comply with the 2nd gun Missouri rule there will be no extra cost for this use. Hearing and eye protection can be provided for free if you don't already own your own. One-on-One shooting coaching: price depends on training locations and number of hours. Call or email and ask. When you consider the cost of this class please keep in mind that it is an investment that will last your lifetime, and could be the reason you lave a long lifetime if you are ever in a lethal force confrontation. There are cheaper classes out there, and many more expensive. You need to be confident and comfortable in your choice of instructor. Call or email me and give me a chance to meet your expectations. I have had to start requiring deposits for classes when time allows due to no-shows. A deposit will be required for most classes. 48 hours notice is appreciated for cancellations or class date changes. Deposits will generally be $25 except in the case of a one person private class which requires 50% of the class fee. Class slots are limited and no-shows inconvenience everyone. I fully understand that cancellations will sometimes be necessary and it will not affect your refund, just be considerate of others that may have been turned away and make a reasonable effort to attend when you are scheduled. When evaluating an instructor you should ask what real world self defense experience he has. What is his instructor rating. Don't rely on just his being a student at such and such a school. Unless he was trained to be an instructor first he will have trouble translating what he may have learned at these locations into material and experience he can pass onto a student. As well if you're ever involved in a "use of force" situation your instructors credentials may be an issue. Think ahead and get trained by the most experienced trainer you can afford. Book learning is good, but no substitute for experience. Is he just a competition shooter who only uses a gun for fun, or does he actually carry that gun everyday with the knowledge and expectation that he may have to use it? Has he actually used it or is he one of those that has never drawn or fired a gun in a lethal force situation? Does he have insurance? Will he spend the time necessary to make sure students of differing skill levels actually learn the material, or take your money and pass you? Or just as bad take your money and let you fail because he failed to teach you? It true that a very few people may not be able to pass the course the first time, but I have not yet met them. If I do I will work with them until they can pass the course and only charge them for any follow-up range time and not my time.
