Refuse To Be A VictimInstructors: Don & Pam Treece PH# 816-455-2491 |
The Refuse to be a Victim is a 1-4 hour seminar that can be taught to any group. Its length depends on what material is covered. A good general seminar with a question and answer period can be tailored for most groups in 2 hours. A more in-depth one can be set for 4 hours and include much more material and a longer question and answer section.
The seminar is generally given with a static display of personal safety and crime prevention items that augment the presentation given using a professionally designed PowerPoint on an LCD digital projector. This seminar is nationally recognized and used by many law enforcement agencies as their main crime prevention presentation.
Don & Pam Treece, the instructors both have backgrounds in Law Enforcement. Don is currently working as an officer for a major metropolitan police department, and has been for over 20 years. While Pam is now working partime in the education field, she has 10 years of local and federal police experience, and has been to three police academies. Both are very enthusiastic about the potential for individuals to actual learn to protect themselves and their families and property through simple awareness and crime prevention tactics. These tactics are fully explained by the presenters and are detailed even more in a 79 page manual the attendee get to keep after their attendance.
The seminar is not a self defense class. Attendee will not be exposed to firearms or other lethal means of self protection. What an individual chooses to do to protect themselves must be a personal decision. The seminar does not advocate any form of lethal devices and leaves that up to the individual. Non-lethal methods of self protection are discussed and attendees are encouraged to get proper training in whatever means they do choose to use. The main goal of the seminar is to equip the attendee with the awareness to avoid being a victim and to guide them in choosing ways to deter crime from happening in the first place.
While there is no age limit for the seminar, teenagers and adult of all ages would benefit most from the standard seminar material. We can adapt it however for a younger crowd should the request be made.
We welcome your calls or emails and encourage you to work with us in setting up a seminar for your group. The seminar costs depends on many variables, from the location, number of attendees, length, sponsorship, and more so you are encouraged to call to see what we can work out.
Thanks and have a safe day.
Sincerely,
Don & Pam Treece
