As a certified Law Enforcement Firearms Instructor I meet the requirements in most jurisdictions for teaching Security officers the fundamentals of armed carry.  I also meet the requirements for conducting qualification and re-qualification firearm proficiency testing in most jurisdictions.

Kansas City Private Officers Licensing's Section requires that prior to qualification each year the armed security officer must show he has attended firearms safety training.  I have the proper form for this training verification as well as a 2-3 hour class that will satisfy the training requirements.  I am very flexible with this training.  The cost of this class is $75.  You could take a First Steps class but that is not appropriate to a Security officer that carries a gun for self defense as well as to fulfill his duties.

I am now qualified to certify Pepper Spray basic users through OCAT^sm which is a nationally recognized non-brand dependent training program.  This basic user class is a 4 hour class and certification for users is good for 2 years.  Call me to discuss prices.   If your officers are carrying pepper spray without certification you have serious liability exposure issues that can quickly be resolved by this certification.  The days when you could buy an article of training equipment, read the instructions and issue it for use are unfortunately gone.
