Many people new to Concealed Carry will not have already purchased a handgun and may not have enough knowledge about the different types, calibers, and options to make an informed decision before taking a class.  Don't feel pressured to buy a gun before class.  I have plenty of guns for class use and only charge  a modest fee for their use with ammo for them.  Feel free to bring your own handguns to class and the range has a great selection of ammo for all common calibers at great prices.

If you're taking a Missouri Concealed Carry class the course of fire is a total of 70 rounds.  You must shoot both a Semi-auto and a revolver.  If you have one but not the other I can loan the use of the one you need at the range for the rounds needed to show marksmanship for no cost.  If you wish to shoot it more than that, or need both guns, I charge $15 for the full use of both guns and 70 rounds of ammo.

If you are taking a Kansas Concealed Carry course you only have to qualify with one handgun.  We will teach you the fundamentals of both types, but you only need fire one type for qualification.  The Kansas Course of fire is 25 rounds, however you're requested to bring a minimum of 50 rounds as we will do some practice before and some may need to retest.  If you need one of my guns for class use on the Kansas course the cost will be $15 for the gun and ammo use.

If the gun you bring to class malfunctions or will not function safely (yes I have one every class) you may use one of my class guns and you settle up with me on the ammo after shooting.  The gun you bring to class will be inspected and no guns with safeties deactivated or other alterations that in the opinion of the instructor renders it unsafe will be allowed.   Guns brought to class must be in working order.  If your gun jams on every round forcing you to try an immediate action drill we will need to take your gun out of service for the safety of other shooters.  Many times it is shooter induced error and we can fix that if time allows, other times it is the gun.

Don't sweat this class, it is a very easy safety class.  We don't do Rambo tactics due to having mixed student experience levels.  It is a basic safety course suitable for all skill levels.  We don't yell and we run the class as informally as we safely can around firearms.  Learning to shoot should be fun and it is safe as long as all safety rules are adhered to when handling guns.

Due to the explosive rise in ammo cost we have standardized the rental guns available for class use to high quality .22 revolvers and semi-autos.
